What is the Alexander Technique?

The Alexander Technique is a system to restore balance and co-ordination

It teaches you to become aware of your habitual patterns of tension, tension that can cause stress, pain, and wear and tear.

The Alexander Technique teacher will teach you how to naturally but correctly, balance and support yourself in stillness and movement. This shift of awareness, which is both physical and mental, allows you to, firstly, become aware of this harmful tension, secondly to release it, and thirdly not to return to it in situations which are demanding or stressful.

Continued learning and practice of the Technique, teaches you to be more aware that you have choices in your life, choices that range from the way in which you sit, to the way in which you manage problems and difficult situations.

The Alexander Technique leads to increased freedom, calmness and happiness in your life.
